It all started with Great Danes.
My passion and cynological activity began in 1980, when I bought the first blue
female Great Dane and joined the Polish Kennel Club.
For over 40 years I bred 7 generations of blue and black Great Dane with my own kennel name AMIGO PERRO (FCI) icluding many Champions in Poland and other European countries. I bred a Yorkshire Terrier for a short time, and for 8 years I have been breeding Boston Terrier with show successes.
Some cynologists may also associate me with sled dogs, especially with Samoyeds. And rightly so, because for 11 years I have been supporting my wife's breeding, SONATA ARCTICA (FCI), with knowledge and experience.
In my cynological career I am a member of the Polish Kennel Club and I was vice president for 20 years of the Molossoid Breeds Club in Poland.
I am an honorary member of the Polish Kennel Club.
I am currently the president of the Bialystok branch ZKwP for 20 years and the president of the Rottweiler Club in Poland for several years.
I have been a judge since 1999. I judge breeds from all FCI groups. So far, I have judged in 27 countries including Europe, Asia and Africa, at different National and International Dog Shows , Euro Dog Shows, World Dog Show, EUDDC – great danes, Club Dog Shows, Monographic Dog Shows and many more.

Kaisa Metteri-Gold, Finland

It is a great pleasure to join the judging panel at Istra show 2023.
Terriers have been part of almost my whole life. We got our first Staffordshire Bull Terrier in the family in the early -70's. As a very rare breed in Finland by then, my father promised to show him a couple of times and that is where I got my first touch with dog shows. When I wanted to have my own dog, the choice was very clear, it had to be a Stafford and that is what I got.
In mid -80's I was introduced to American Staffords. I helped a breeder to keep her new import until she gave birth and totally felt in love with this well trained Amstaff female. As I was more into training and obedience, I picked myself a puppy out of this litter.
My first Amstaff was a great working dog but also a good show dog and through him I got more involved into showing. I also had the opportunity to show a lot of different breeds during the years, specially Irish Water Spaniels and Griffons.
I have been been very active in the breed clubs and was for years the President and board member of the Finnish Staffordsire Bull Terrier club, the Amstaff club and for the moment I am a board member of the Finnish Toy Dog Club and the Finnish Judges association.
With the Amstaffs I always had a smaller breed. First Jack Russel Terriers that I also bred a few litters of, then a Smooth Fox Terrier and later Boston Terriers.
I met my first Little Lion Dog almost 30 years ago, but it took me 15 years to convince my husband that we absolutely needed one, or two or three and a few litters... Luckily today I can enjoy different breeds by judging them and I don't have to have own them all.
I am still breeding and showing some, but these days the judging fills
my weekends pretty well.
For now I am judging dogs from groups 2,3,4,9 and 10 and 2/3 from group 5. I have had the pleasure to judge around the world and really look forward to Istra, as this will be my first judging assignment in Slovenia. |
